Zombie Shaker Box has a long and storied history beginning in 2008 with founder and vocalist/songwriter Kirk Hulshoff.
Based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, Hulshoff’s vision has led him to search and assemble various notable artists and a select group of core players/writers. All of whom contribute to a dynamic sound of melodic hard rock while infusing elements of the Alt-Rock 90s. Shades of AIC, STP, and other highly successful bands can be heard in ZSB.
ZSB’s debut album Encrypted was written and released in 2010. Guitarist Chris Poindexter was an integral part of that record, contributing to the songwriting and providing both rhythm and lead guitar.
In 2010 ZSB was invited to compete and perform at the LA Music Awards where Kirk Hulshoff won the Best Vocalist Honors.
2011 brought the addition of veteran guitarist/songwriter Lawrence Ellington as a core member. His efforts would include co-writing and assisting with engineering/producing, and pre-production.
ZSB has recently completed a new nine-song LP that will be highlighted by two high-impact videos of
extraordinary production quality and direction. Showcasing the groups on the edge and polished
The artists on the new record are notably Drummer Les Warner formerly of the highly successful band The
Cult and Bassist Dan McNay of Jack Russel's Great White and formerly Bassist with the Ronnie Montrose
